Glad MODDIY is providing PC parts for niche situations." So far I would buy this again, however I've only been using it for the past week. I'm going to assume that this is due to the poor quality of the drive and not the hub. The off-brand drive does not get random disconnects when plugged directly into the motherboard back IO.

It works fine with a Samsung BAR Plus USB 3.0 drive, but I get random disconnects with an off-brand USB 3.0 drive that has an LED on it (maybe it's trying to pull more voltage than the hub allows?). The only issue I've found with this hub is that it might not work with all USB 3.0 drives. The one by Sabrent is known to have issues with optional SATA power though, so I opted for this one instead. An internal hub like this is the only other option, so it was either this one or one made by Sabrent. I could've bought a PCIe expansion card in order to achieve this, but I didn't want to use one of those for several reasons.
